Following the Orton Gillingham OG approach the math program is individualized to the student’s needs and follows a multisensory approach using the student’s strengths. The individualized program is structured and sequential and through the use of manipulatives and pen to paper exercises translate what were abstract math concepts to concrete tangible reality. This will help the student then be able to build an abstract model in their mind based on the concrete conceptualization of math concepts.
